Depth is the amount of break the pitch has on its approach to the plate. The crisper and harder the curve can be snapped off, the more break or depth it will have. So when you read that in reports or write-ups its saying the pitcher can snap off a curve with a lot of break. In Madison Younginer's case, I think that is where the question is stemming from, he has the ability to snap off his curve hard and create a lot of break or depth, but he is inconsistent in doing it. That's why the pitch has a lot of potential if he can hone his release further. Also, you guys are too kind with the comments. Appreciate the feedback and nice words though.

I've never seen mention of base stealing speed regarding Coyle. Chris, have you had a chance to review that aspect ? Mentally, I picture Pedroia speed but that's rather unfair reasoning.
