So does this make Lowrie the utility IF for next season? I could have sworn Theo said he wanted Lowrie to start in AAA. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I think it benefits Lowrie most to start in AAA, not unlike Buchholz this year - I think he'll have to absolutely destroy Scutaro (or any other IF like Lowell for that matter) in all phases in the Spring to beat him out for a starting job, and I'm not sure keeping him as the utility infielder is the best spot for him, although that's certainly not out of the question. It is worth noting that Lowrie still has two options left.
