I don't suppose that draft picks can be traded even when manager types are involved? Assuming not, I'd be happy to have an Hissey/Younginer type from
2008; someone young, projectable, who would fall into our 30-50 range. I don't see any reason to keep Farrell from a job he wants (assuming he wants it)
because we're being a little greedier than that. Not sure if Cleveland would even consider that cost or not, but I think it's the lowest level of
compensation that's more than just lip service.

It's been reported now that Farrell isn't going anywhere.
charliezink, it's not a "theory". There's precedent in a team trading for a coach - Randy Winn was traded to the Mariners from Tampa for Lou Pinella. EDIT: Forgot I'm not a moderator anymore. Heh. |
