Its a good duo but we do have to remember that Wilson is going only 2-3 innings so its really the bullpen that will win the first game should it be a low scoring affair. Alvarez is a much better bet to win that second game though. Either way I expect at least 1 win tonight and a clinching party in Oneonta.

Speaking of the clinching party, I count 16 players on the roster over 21. Does that mean there might actually be (cheap of course) champagne in the celebration photo this year, unlike the last one, which I think had soda or something because everyone but one was underage?

Looks as though the party is a go....11-0 in the second right now..sounds like BP over the radio -- Pichardo has tied the franchise record for stolen bases, Gibson has tied the franchise record for runs scored....everybody is hitting

If that's true, it has nothing to do with the errors. He's actually a good defensive SS.

Why would we ever PH for Varitek? I mean, what if we PH for him, and it goes to extras, and vic martinez gets eaten by dinosaurs? We'd have to use the emergency catcher.
