I'm sure everyone is aware of the solid season Ryne Miller is having. All of a sudden, I'm following this guy more closely. What is everyone's perspective on this kid? Chance?

Uh-Oh Nava is 2 for his last 10. We are all just too used to him getting three hits a game.
Who do we expect to see get called up from the GCL? Anyone?

Solid game from Castillo tonight, though he'd be even better if he could get first pitch strikes... he seemed to be battling from behind a lot (though with reasonably good results).

Btw, we can add baserunning to the list of skills that Michael Almanzar needs a lot of work on.

I checked the play-by-play and nothing jumped out. What happened?

"William Holmes reaches on throwing error by shortstop Robbie Shields. Michael Almanzar to 3rd. Christopher McGuiness out at home, second baseman Jordany Valdespin to catcher Dock Doyle."

the "throwing error" was on a flip from short to second and the ball bounced about 5 feet away... Almanzar tried to take third.

McGuiness wasn't going home (as well he shouldn't have been)... until he saw Zar bearing down on him, at which point he figured he had to run. Toast by a good margin at home, thanks to Almanzar.

Bowden is not on the pitching probables for Pawsox for next weekend listed on this site. must be too early for the Sox to announce a starter for SAT. I don't have any solid information.

Sorry... I'm just really frustrated with this guy. He's very frustrating to watch in pretty much ALL facets of the game, especially his statuesque defense. Post edited.

It's much more humorous this way anyhow. I agree that he's frustrating, but I'm still hoping he can pull something out. Sometimes, people mature suddenly.
