Per USA Today, Sox to get Martinez from the Indians. Cost not reported.

Clay better not be involved.

Nightengale (USA Today) also says the M's rejected a hard push by the Red Sox for King Felix. Gasp! That would have been something HUGE.

I don't think the Sox are dumb enough to give up Buchholz for V-Mart. Especially considering our recent lack of healthy/effective starting pitchers.... Are
they?

Reeks. Was hoping Gonzalez or bust since Shapiro was wanting far too much for VMart. Here is to hoping no Bucholz, Bard, Kelly, nor Westmoreland.

Haven't heard, but I'm guessing not Clay. Bowden and Masterson maybe?

Clay better not be involved in a deal with Victor Martinez.

I wonder if this rules out the possibility of getting Gonz or Halladay

I have a feeling this deal is more complicated than it appears right now (ie, a third team involved).

Funny how I guessed the Red Sox would pull of (or at least attempt to) pull off a block-buster deal like King Felix without anyone hearing about it.
I hope no Buchholz on a Martinez trade because the Red Sox need the depth now. Brady Penny and Smoltz need to go.
Marge: Homer, the plant called. They said if you don't show up tomorrow don't bother showing up on Monday.
Homer: Woo-hoo. Four-day weekend. |

With Buck still in the fold, we can still keep everyone honest in the Halladay race.

Means we still have Buchh to send for Halladay. ;P
