I've noticed that a number of message board members have contacted players, draftees, scouts, and writers in the last few weeks and months, inquiring about draft negotiations and the like. While we appreciate the information-gathering efforts, and everyone is obviously free to contact whomever they like on their own, I just want to add a reminder to make sure that people are not characterizing themselves as representatives of SoxProspects.com when they initiate these communications. I haven't noticed any instances of this in about a year, so I'm not citing any specific examples here, but I just want to pre-empt any instances that might happen. The only members who are authorized to portray themselves as representatives of SoxProspects.com are the Staff, and even then they have to go through the proper channels before doing so. Like I said, not singling anybody out here, just better safe than sorry.
