Cherrington has done a nice job tweaking this team. We lose sight sometimes that big money players aren't always necessary. All this team needs beyond some tweaks are professionalism and focus. Bobby V should help with that. This is still a WS contender and a 100 game threat. Beckett Lester Buchholz Bard/Aceves - possible they both make it but I believe someone is brought in making it a sping competition between these two Free Agent/Trade Pen Closer: Bailey 8th: Melancon (Bard if not in rotation) 7th: Aceves - ultimately I think he's best suited for relief, but may make rotation to keep him happy. MR: Jenks MR: Doubront - don't love him but no options and they won't want to lose him yet. MR: Moralez - I thought he showed good stuff last year Last spot: Hill/Bowden/Atchison/Miller/Free Agent/Trade I'm surprise Wheeler opted out - I hope he comes back. I also hope Hill is back. Jenks is certainly a wild card Lavarnway starts yer in AAA giving them potentially a big bat to bring up for pst season when benches are bigger. Kalish also is a potential RF solution by June Not much coming for the relief or rotation - maybe Wilson, Workman or Ranaudo. Cabral if we can get him back but my guess is he sticks and does well with Yankees. May regret not protecting him but keeping guys like Expo and Lars.
