The Texas Rangers and right-hander Joe Nathan have agreed to a deal to bring the former all-star to Arlington and likely handle the ninth inning, reports T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com.The move is yet another strong sign that Neftali Feliz is moving to the starting rotation immediately and that setup man Mike Adams will likely remain in that role. Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News tweets that the deal is for two years. and comes with an option for a third. The closer market is still full with the likes of Heath Bell, Ryan Madson, Francisco Cordero, Jonathan Broxton, Frank Francisco and Francisco Rodrigues -- that's a lot of Franciscos! -- but also may speed up the process on trade availables such as Huston Street, Andrew Bailey and Brandon League. -via ESPN Insider

But the former Los Angeles Dodgers closer wanted to sign before the winter meetings, which begin Monday in Dallas, and his timetable was “a little quicker than they were comfortable with” given his medical history, the source said.
