Pena," per the broadcast) loaded the bases with no outs on a single, sac bunt/error, and single; Tommy Hottovy came in, got two strikeouts and then snared a comebacker for the save in front of the very animated home crowd. I'm not sure I've ever seen him look so pumped. (Before the final out I would have described his look as more of a "I'd like to get out of here alive" expression.)

Best Of The Rest: Pitchers ... Venezuelan righthander Junior Flores is a cousin of Red Sox lefthander Franklin Morales. He played for the Venezuelan 16-and-under team at the COPABE Pan American championship in Mexico in October and pitched briefly. Flores, who trains with Ciro Barrios, is a lanky, lean 6-foot-1 with a quick arm and an 86-89 mph fastball. His breaking ball is slurvy at times, a sharper chase pitch at others. There's looseness to his delivery with some drop and drive to it, though like many young pitchers he's still learning to repeat and throw strikes.

Lars is more of a Muse guy, according to his interviews. Sad part is that I learned that Frusciante left the band from Daeges' facebook page. Which, of course, was the impetus to end my Sox player facebook stalking. As for Flores, I did a (very) quick Google search and could only find Scaffolds posts on Baseball Fever (which was hilarious in its own right). "Julian is in really good physical condition and his repertoire looked good so we decided to hire him. We hope to contribute to the cause of the team, "he said.

I was very disappointed to not contribute the way I wanted with my new team, especially I felt very bad about Manny Acta, manager of the team, the team had high expectations of me, but I hope, God willing, the next years to completely change things, I show that I can be an important piece to take this team to the playoffs ".
