If you look at his last 30 games of last year in Greenville, while younger than the majority of the league, things appear to have clicked for young Michael including 5 HR's in 120 at bats.

IIRC he got promoted when he was traded, so I am claiming that as a pyrrhic victory. Thought I would give the thread a bump so the rest of you can see how your own picks are doing. Obviously there is still a fair amount of time left in the minor leauge season for your own favorite guy to make a move.

Of course, he named a lot of different players, but still . . . for someone that I almost always disagree with in every way, he did alright. (I suppose naming every young, high ceiling player will produce that result)

Rookie Posts: 5 08/20/11 7:53 AM	Not so much a reemerge as a bust onto the scene. Matt Marquis' early performance at Lowell as a 41st round draft choice is amazing and a testimony of the Red Sox amateur scouting system. Through his first 10 games and 40 plate appearances as a professional the kid has a triple slash of .485/.550/.788 with 3 HR's and 10 RBI! He makes excellent contact (8 BB/HBP, 7 K's), has great present power, runs well and is flawless in the corner OF showing a strong arm. One needs only look at the scouting report contained in this site which had to be compiled from Marquis less than stellar college experience to understand how far he has come in a short period of time.
