Why would we ever PH for Varitek? I mean, what if we PH for him, and it goes to extras, and vic martinez gets eaten by dinosaurs? We'd have to use the emergency catcher. -FenwayTheHardWay

The strike zone is unbelievably tight. Hitters basically just went up there with the bat on their shoulder and McClellan gave them the walk.
