Now hes an OF and ready to take over. Hence the quentin rumors that popped up a few weeks ago. Anyway, with that being the case i'm not so sure reddick would be of particular interest to them.

Right now the core of the lineup is in their prime or entering their prime. That is where I was going with that. As for Hanley being the face of the franchise. The Marlins opinion can change if you call them and offer players such as Middlebrooks, Iglesias, Ranuado, and one of Kalisk/Reddick.

I think Quentin would be an absolute beast in Fenway. I don't think you would have to give up Iglesias, Middlebrooks, or Ranaudo to make this deal. Probably 2 to 3 of either Reddick, Doubront, Weiland, Wilson, Brentz, Chiang, or Lavarnway would have to go to make this deal possible and throw in some minor prospects like Bowden, Lin, or Hassan. I agree with DC, I'm sick of the JD Drew show. Either hang on to Reddick or ship him off to Chicago and get Carlos Quentin. Honestly, I'd give up 1 or 2 decent prospects along with Reddick for Quentin. I'm not that high on Edwin Jackson but Buchholz's health seems to be up in the air at this point so you might need to deal for him as well. If Buchholz does come back strong, then you can just slot Edwin in the 5 spot until the playoffs. Then you have another reliever throwing fireballs in the bullpen come October to replace Bobby. There's a difference between being idiotic and vain, especially when a kid is involved. Well he did pick up Alexis Rios, which is much worse than taking a shot on JD for a few months if the sox paid his salary.
