Rondo has no confidence at all right now in his offensive game, and it shows. He's not running, and when he does run the floor he pulls the ball back out and waits for help. He's not driving, and when he does drive the lane, he's passing it. He's not shooting the ball, and when he does, he's missing it. He's not playing the strong defense he's been known for - he's gambling almost as much as he was his rookie and sophomore years. The guy needs to play like he was in the playoffs last year or else this team isn't going anywhere. As much as everyone loves to say "WE HAVE 3 HALL OF FAMERS" blah blah blah, Rondo makes the offense work by pressing the ball up the floor, running effective pick and rolls, and driving to the hoop.

I'd also give the team the edge over the Lakers because of its huge advantage defensively and at the PG position, but LA is certainly on the same level as the Celtics in terms of pure talent. Cleveland, San Antonio, and Orlando fall below those teams in any order, but there's a pretty noticeable drop off. Of course, a lot can happen over the course of an 82-game season in terms of injuries and other factors, which is why they play the games (stupid cliche, I know, but it's fitting).
