It was very obvious. Some pitchers can deal with things like that but it looks like he cant. His manager should have known that and take him out immediately.
If the Phillies make it for game 7 I wouldnt pitch him at all. Happ should be the one pitching.

Why would we ever PH for Varitek? I mean, what if we PH for him, and it goes to extras, and vic martinez gets eaten by
dinosaurs? We'd have to use the emergency catcher.

Wow. I can't believe they didn't go with Lee on 3 days rest.
I'd be fuming right now, if I was A-Rod. Phillies fielders better have their heads on a swivel if he's on the bases. And a terrible job issuing warnings. God forbid the World Series is played with a little intensity. |

The key to the remainder of the series is whether or not the Phillies can hang around long enough for Howard to wake up. Werth/Utley/Ibanez have to win this
game for Philly.
Rollins also needs to get something started for this team

There just aren't enough bad things to say about Lidge in this spot. No way you can let A-Rod hit with 2 outs in that spot. You have to get Damon out. One
of the more embarrasing sequences I've ever seen in sports; little league or otherwise.
