Let's sign Pedro as our 2nd half starter for Wakefield. Two Red Sox greats for 5 million bucks.

God damnit Pedro. You get Teixeira and A-rod and then give up that shit to Matsui? The catcher set up away and you hung a breaking ball inside. I hate Yankee
Stadium

At least he is coming back out to start an inning @ 99 pitches. Go Charlie!!! Can a guy get fired after back to back World Series appearances?

The only thing worse than listening Tim McCarver when he is wrong, is when he toots his own horn when he's right. I can't believe the Phillies
didn't send the runners there.

I was listening to the Phillies broadcast on the radio in my car and the play by play guy made the mistake, but shockingly the color guy corrected him and said he is such and such in his PLAYOFF career. |

McCarver hasn't seemed that bad for the World Series, I haven't listened to every single inning but I haven't heard him say anything too
outlandishly stupid and his insight has usually been correct. He's even sided against the Yankees and called out Jeter for his bonehead bunt attempt.

Is there a bigger joke in sports than Yankee Stadium? Honest question.
Why would we ever PH for Varitek? I mean, what if we PH for him, and it goes to extras, and vic martinez gets eaten by
dinosaurs? We'd have to use the emergency catcher.

Tonight was the first time I had seen Pedro pitch since he left the Red Sox. He still is a very good pitcher, even without the heat. I agree, the Sox should
bring him back.

He's made some observations that made sense and I haven't heard him say anything that made me want to hurl the remote at the screen. Sure he's trying to be too wordy and his trying to call every pitch is annoying, but he just hasn't seemed as bad as usual. |

Another game where the umps are not coming out clean, and this one actually involves replay. That reversed call for the HR shouldn't have been made because
there is no definitive evidence that ball goes over the wall.

Looked pretty obvious that ball was out. Of course, if the ump correctly rings up Teixeira on the previous at-bats missed strike call, we are probably not
having this conversation. The umps suck dog, whatareyagonnado? The Hanks are just getting the breaks right now and that's how it rolls when you're
going good. Blanton does not have a chance in hell of keeping them under 5 tonight, and this thing is basically done. To the Offseason Thread!
Just wanted to say that Singer has disallowed me from posting new topics ever since my Freddy Guzman thread. He seemed very upset about my opinions and was
almost hostile in his responses. He must have been upset about something else, I don't know, it was strange. Anyway, apparently he has deemed me unworthy
of starting new discussions. Do I mind? I do mind, the Dude minds. This will not stand, ya know, this aggression will not stand, man.

Too bad they dont have instant replay for strikes. After Tex walked Hamels lost it. He got very upset with the umpire and everything went downhill.
