Wow, how do you not tag up on that play? That throw was well off the mark.

Great.....maybe the layoff after sweeping the Twinkies will affect them against whomever they play in the next round.
Fearless 2010 prediction: The Red Sox will target Braves catcher Brian McCann in a deal for top prospects that also includes eating the rest of Derek
Lowe's contract.

He did a good job locating his new cutter away against Cuddyer, but he otherwise has one of the straightest fastball's in the game (-4.24 H-movement last night) and throws it 63% of the time. I still think their achilles heel remains middle relief. For a moment, after CC had inexplicably thrown 64 pitches through 3 innings against that hacktastic lineup, I thought we would see some of that middle relief after 5 innings. But then CC remembered Delmon Young swings at pitches over his head (which he accomplished), and quietly let the Twins just die a slow death on their own. This lineup is total crap after Kubel. |

I still don't get why Leyland took out Porcello when he had his best stuff of the year, to then hand it over to Zach Minor. The Twins are an abortion of a
playoff team.

The Twins continue to show just how bad of a playoff team they are. Terrible baserunning costs them the lead.....unreal.
Next time, just go with 3 teams MLB.......

I don't understand, I was told A-Rod couldn't come through in big spots.

After the 8th, I was about to post "Damn. If the Twins hang on, with the next two games in the Metrodome, they have a legitimate chance to win this
series." But I decided not to get ahead of myself. Good thinking.

I hope everyone who ever said A-rod is 'not clutch' and couldn't hit in the playoffs dies in a fire.

Haha.
edit: double haha.
Why would we ever PH for Varitek? I mean, what if we PH for him, and it goes to extras, and vic martinez gets eaten by
dinosaurs? We'd have to use the emergency catcher.

They need to call an emergency meeting and remove some of these umpires. This is now in Tim Donaghy territory.

That's even worse than Bucknor. They specifically have a left field umpire just to watch the foul line. All
he had to do was look at a straight line, and he couldn't do that. And it was a foot fair!
Mauer did end up getting on base later though. |
