Made a crucial mistake and turned on the sound (TBS). I was immediately assaulted with navel gazing comments about how NY has to win this series to prove that the money was well spent. I swear everyone who works for any network and broadcasts one of
their games is completely obsessed with everything pinstriped. Punched that mute button real fast...

Jose Molina would've blocked that.

I just hope the Yankees win this game. That's all I've got to say. [/Georgie]
(Mauer was lucky to have made it there, could've been a big letdown). |

Yes, Carey, that 3rd inning homer sure was "magical."
Why would we ever PH for Varitek? I mean, what if we PH for him, and it goes to extras, and vic martinez gets eaten by
dinosaurs? We'd have to use the emergency catcher.

Swing and a base hit to left, wait, the left fielder is going to make that catch. "The ball was tailing away but the fielder caught it". It was right
to the left fielder.

Poor defense by the Twins. Poor defense by Jorge.
aminahyaquin: Alou is a 37 year old 7 time MVP with a .347 lifetime batting average and a world of hustle. he
can golden glove field in his sleep.
tGG: Alou is actually 42, has never won an MVP, has a .303 lifetime batting average, and is mediocre at best in the field. joshv02: But, other than that, you're wrong. |

That Jeter home run by the way was "meaningless." It's "meaningless" because two years ago people labeled ARod's home run in game 4
as meaningless so if we're going to be consistent with our criteria...

Josh Reddick is going to be better than Delmon Young. The plate approach, swing at everything does not work. Even Vlad, who can hit everything, knows
not to swing at everything.
Also, the bottom of the Twins line-up might be the worst bottom of an AL line-up I've ever seen in the post-season.

No one else in the history of baseball could ever flip a bad throw to a catcher to nail a guy at the plate. Ever.

Wait, how are the passed balls Posada's fault? They were cross-ups. Posada called a pitch, Sabathia didn't throw it. Cross-ups are on the pitcher.

Passed ball is always on the catcher. Wild pitch is on the pitcher.
To this day, Jorge Posada bloop singles make my blood boil.

Aaron, I think he's arguing that posters on the board shouldn't be ragging on Posada, not that the official scorer should have marked it differently.
