The reason I agree that he is the worst MLB starter is that not only is his hitting terrible, but he can't throw out a runner anymore. 15-107...12% of
runners thrown out=get out of baseball.

Yep, that's definitely vintage Dice-K out there, loading the bases with no outs and then retiring the next three batters.

Paul Byrd should not be on our baseball team. It's embarrasing that he is. It's also embarrasing that we won the first 8 games of the series and
we're not going to win the season series. Something to certainly be ashamed of.

These games against the Yankees don't mean anything. The playoffs are a different story. Just ask A-Rod the spokesman for the official drink sponsor the
Yankees 2009 post-season "Choke."

I don't mean to spread the panic, but with the loss today and Texas leading 5-0 over Tampa in the 8th the wild card lead will be cut to 5 games at the end
of the day. They need to start winning some games.

Congrats to the Yanks. They played fantastic ball since June, something like 85-41, and deserved to win the division. Like temple said, the Sox played scared.
They were playing not to lose instead of playing to win. In a seven game series, I still think we match up well with them. They still have to beat Lester,
Beckett, and Buchholz three times to beat us.

Nice to see the team lay over for the Yankees again.
Not that it really matters, but that was just a putrid effort this weekend. You really have to try to win the first 8 games against a team and still not win the season series.
Why would we ever PH for Varitek? I mean, what if we PH for him, and it goes to extras, and vic martinez gets eaten by
dinosaurs? We'd have to use the emergency catcher.
