Speculation on my part, but the logical countermove is the activation of Keowen and Dening. EDIT: per the milb.com roster, those two have indeed been activated.

Sox acquire Joey Gathright from Baltimore for a PTBNL, per Amalie's twitter. EDIT: Amalie Benjamin's saying Tazawa to Pawtucket. We'll see which it is. EDIT2: Extra Bases says GCL, so it's probably that. Makes sense, as Gathright will take McBeth's spot.
