Brady took a big time hit from Haynesworth yesterday on his shoulder. Pats saying its just shoulder soreness but it could be more.

Well, at least this means he'll be on the injury report all season. Bad things happen when Tom Brady is not on the injury report (see 2008).

Probable with a right shoulder just like it has been in the past.

Good for Tedy, going out on his own terms. Easily one of my favorite players of the championship era.

Never have seen BB get that emotional in a press conference. If anyone, Bruschi deserved it.

No surprises in the cuts for the 53 man roster... looks like they will be a dominant team again in the AFC

Patriots just traded Richard Seymour to the Raiders for a 2011 first-round draft pick.

Myron Pryor must be a beast. I hope Kevin Carter is signing a contract as we speak because the Patriots greatest postion of strength was just severely
weakened. The pick in 2011 makes sense because it will be in the top 10, and Kraft is going to be taking the lead in cba negotiations so there WILL be a
slotted rookie pay scale in the next cba. The Pats took off 3.3 million from the cap as well, leaving them about 6 million under. Time to sign Vince and get a
backup QB.
edit-grammar edit 2- actually with Bruschi and Alex Smith gone that's a total of 9 million under the cap

It's freeing up cap room to sign Wilfork long-term. I also feel like they may think he's losing a step and want to get value for him now - first-round
picks in 2011 will be a LOT more valuable than first-rounders are now if they put a rookie cap in place.

And for all the chicken littles who think oh my god what if there's no draft when there's a lockout in 2011, there will be one, its mandated by the
current CBA. So the Pats would have the rights to the player they draft even during a lockout. The only foreseeable problem might be that all the good juniors
in college football jump ship to avoid the possible slotting; although I said the same thing for the last draft.

I love Richard Seymour, but I love BB more. Our DL depth is fantastic and getting a probable high pick when there is likely to be a hard slotting system is
tremendous value for a 31yo DE on the last year of his deal, not to mention the cap space it frees up. Gold.

No Harrison, no Seymour, no Bruschi. I hate aging.
I mean I really wanted Ellis Hobbs gone but everyone else didnt have to go with him. ASAL owns this thread. Owns it.
