Buchholz is currently one of only 3 of our starters who have an ERA under 5 and are not on the DL. He is not part of this deal.

He's an awesome hitter to watch. One of the smartest in baseball. He consistently puts together fantastic AB's. I'm interested to see who went the
other way, but I'm a huge V-Mart fan.

I will be disappointed if we give up Buch and more since we apparently turned down a straight deal a few days ago. I bet it's a three team deal with
Laroche heading out as well.

If its Buchholz color me disappointed. The starting pitching has major holes in it yet they get another bat. Granted Martinez is a very good talent but this
team's pitching is struggling outside of Beckett/Lester.

If its for Buck not sure why the deal wouldn't have happened a few days ago - I am sure its far more complicated than a simple 1:1 swap. Per theo's MO
there are a lot of moving parts and they will explore every option to make it work. If it didn't work with Clay a few days ago, I hardly doubt it's
Clay today.
