Kris Johnson has had a really tough year. He hasn't even been that hard on lefties. Does anyone know why he is struggling?

I don't get the hype around Drabek. He likely projects as a 2-3 starter, and those are awesome, but I guess I'm missing something here if he becomes a staff ace.

EDIT: Of course that now I said that, he'll no-hit Portland.

He pitched pretty well tonight, but before I get too excited, I'll note the three bases on balls and no K's. Wagner(~~2/3~~ 2/4, 2b) and Carter (1/2, 2BB) ~~Bates (1/3)~~ had good games ~~so far~~ as well.

What a rotten schedule for the Sea Dogs. They played Trenton and New Britain on the road then went home to play 3 with NH, followed by a immediate return to the road in Reading and Harrisburg.

I say just release him, he couldn't pitch in the majors and now can't pitch in AAA. At that age he is useless in AA.
PS: He also could not play the outfield in the majors in a game where Jonathan Van Every out pitched him.

I guess he throws 95-96 and I heard his curve is a very legit plus pitch as well and he has good walk rates. Not sure what his third pitch is but he has put up some very good, not amazing #'s for a 21 year old in AA and was pretty dominant in high-a earlier this year.

On the other hand if your tools suck and your skills are excellent you're either not highly regarded or you're Pedroia.

Kalish is getting hot, good to see him adjusting to AA. That's 10 HRs now in his first full healthy pro season with a lot of time left, that's very good when you consider the A to AA jump.
