I mean, on it's own, I really wouldn't care. However, it just seems like someone asks that every 2-3 weeks and it's a pet peeve of mine.

Is it true that players who are on the 40-man roster but are in the minors get the major league minimum, which I think is about $400,000 now?
If so, there is some incentive to keep that job even if there is not much of a chance of getting to the majors. Some of the guys at Pawtucket who have been with the Sox this year also would get a share of the post-season money, if there is some, as the custom of the team has been to be quite generous with shares. |

Pre-game radio says Tommy Hottovy will start Game 2 tonight for the Sea Dogs.
Side note: Old friend Mickey Hall has his 2nd HR of the year today, after hitting his 1st HR last night. Without looking, I bet he has K'd 100x this year though, unless he has shown some patience over with the Indians Double-A affiliate.

Shouldn't that be investigated ?" LCBF

With looking, he hasn't played nearly enough to have K'ed 100 times. He has 128 at-bats on the year split between AAA and AA. He also already had a
home run in AAA.
To be fair to you, he has struck out in nearly 1/3 of his at-bats (41 in 128 AB). If he had 350 AB's, he'd be well over 100. |

Portland 0-0 after 4. They're trying to play through the rain.

In other news, Mark Buhrle with a perfect game against the Rays.
Navarro just made a 'very nice charging play' 0-0 in the 5th |

Sea Dogs tied 0-0 bottom 7th.
Navarro 1 for 3 with two Ks. Guerra has 12 strikeouts through 7. Antonelis doesn't think they'll get game 2 in and says it won't be made up. New Britain has 1 out, runners on 1st and 2nd on two rain aided rollers that died. EDIT: Sea Dogs lost 1-0 on 3 infield singles. Navarro made a hit saving stop then failed to get the double play then, Jiminez cut off Navarro as the winning run scored.

aminahyaquin: Alou is a 37 year old 7 time MVP with a .347 lifetime batting average and a world of hustle. he
can golden glove field in his sleep.
tGG: Alou is actually 42, has never won an MVP, has a .303 lifetime batting average, and is mediocre at best in the field. joshv02: But, other than that, you're wrong. |

I think he's got a great shot to be the best position prospect this site has seen since Hanley. As you said, the tools are there. The production looks
damn good so far.

Based on the scouting reports and past performances of similar players, I expected Westmoreland to hit maybe 5-8 homeruns for the entire SEASON. Has his
recent display of present power changed projections of where his power will be (as a homerun hitter) when (if . . .) he breaks into the majors, or is this just
a hot streak?
