An offensive catcher with defensive mechanics and plate discipline questions ? The category is best prospect.
2. He has an 1.186 OPS.

Portland destroyed a pitcher making his first double-A start tonight. Michael McCardell ended up giving up 11 ER in 4 IP.

I go to look at the Portland Box score hoping Lars was part of the offensive onslaught, alas he isn't playing.

Have you seen Valle in person? He looked pretty damn good to me when I saw him in Lowell on Saturday. But he's mexican, how could a mexican be better than RWML? Jon Still with two home runs (12th and 13th) and seven RBI, six of which came in the 4th and 5th innings. Now 15-1 Sea Dogs

According to McKamey his tools are rated as PWR: N BA: + Spd: -- Def - Westmoreland: Pwr: - BA: + Spd: + Def: + Like any analyst, McKamey will have differences of opinion from other analysts but for the most part they're all pretty damn close. There's a difference between having a good year at the plate and better prospect.

Lost in the Portland onslaught is Mills with yet another good performance, he's been as good the last two months as he was bad the first two.

I really, really don't care about what Derrick McKamey says when it comes to prospects who haven't played a full season.

I've been on the guy since last year. The stats you quoted include 143 AB's from his 18-year old season in A-ball (his career K-rate is lower than
RWML's and so is his NYPL K rate). All things considered, he actually more than held his own in the SALLY league. Now he's completely dominating the
NYPL at a younger age than Westmoreland. He's going to stick at catcher for the foreseeable future and he's got a strong, athletic frame. You can stick
out Derrick McKamey as your deity all you want; this guy has been completely lost on guys in the past.
Edit: And btw, my argument isn't even that he's a better prospect than RWML. I never made a comparison. But the ignorance you show on your posts is too egregious to be ignored. |

"He's going to stick at catcher for the foreseeable future."
And you'd rate that as a better prospect than Westmoreland ? The category isn't better bat, the initial point was better prospect. Edit: Kiss my ass you pompus little prick
