Here are my current thoughts on promotions and their consequences. Please note, as always, that these thoughts are in my individual capacity and not in my capacity as a moderator.

Assumes that Dice-K joins the team on or about 9/1 (ie, no AAA effect). Assumes Buchholz stays in Boston for the remainder of the year.

Pawtucket (1 over, Bierd, Maldonado and Danielson on "DL", assumes Daeges and Hansack do not return this year, effective 27 man roster)

Proposed plan of action
Add Diaz, Reddick, one of Tazawa or Plummer and Richardson from Portland
Cut/DL/trade Guzman, Velazquez (2/29 in July) and two relievers (Cherry/Traber?)

Portland (Lentz, Gabbard and Sheely on DL, Maxwell on paper move, assumes Beazley and Goodson do not return this year, effective 25 man roster)

Proposed plan of action
Promote Diaz, Reddick, one of Tazawa or Plummer and Richardson to Pawtucket
Add Exposito, Lin, Navarro and Garrison from Salem
Activate Lentz
Send Apodaca and Sheely to Salem

Salem (Portice on DL, Blackley rehabbing, assumes Reza does not return this year, effective 26 man roster)

Proposed plan of action
Promote Exposito, Lin, Navarro and Garrison to Portland
Add Tejeda from Greenville
Add Apodaca and Sheely from Portland
Activate Blackey and Portice

Greenville (Marks on DL, Williamson on paper move, effective 26 man roster)

Proposed plan of action
Promote Tejeda to Salem
Add Kelly from GCL Red Sox

Yes, that is correct, and Jon Hee was promoted to Salem. No Tejeda and no Greenville countermove has been announced yet.

I correct myself. Argenis Diaz was promoted to AAA today - to the Indianapolis Indians.
