I would have still liked to have seen the game, it's just annoying that I can't get access to Kelly and Hagadone when they are far and away better than
Mills. I've seen Portland play a few times now (so not as big of a deal to me).

Assuming you're familiar with NESN's standard of quality, I have no idea why you would ever think that they would leave the region to cover a minor
league game. This channel hasn't developed quality original programming in a decade; why do you think they would all of a sudden get a clue?

Listening to the Salem game, SalSox down 1-0 on back to back doubles. First one was a blooper, second a rocket off a 2-1 fastball.
Interesting, in the first two innings there have been three outfield assists at 3B, two by the Sox (Mailman and Place, both double plays). Kelly just gave up a HR that barely cleared the fence in center. down 2-0 ADD: Trying to type with a wiggly young thing sitting/standing in/on my lap. Same score after 2 1/2

Sounds like Kelly doesn't have his offspeed stuff working. Has three walks this inning and, batters are generally fouling a lot of pitches where they
usually swing and miss. Must be a break issue.
GS, 2-1 fastball. Kelly's allowed 7 runs. Two outs in the third, Kelly still in.

Hagadone is done after 1-2/3rds. Michael Lee came on with two on and two outs in the 2nd, and promptly yielded a double to plate both inherited runners before
getting the third out. Hagadone is charged with three runs without giving up a hit. He struck out two and walked four.
Is anyone listening to that game? Did he come out after reaching his pitch count, or did he hurt himself? |

Kelly with a 1-2-3 fourth.
Mailman with a "what a play, great diving stretched out catch." SalSox getting 1 hit (Jones) and he was thrown out at 3rd trying to stretch a double into a triple. Opposing starter only went 1. Was preplanned, bullpen game for them.

Fair weather fan, switching to the Spinners game just in time to hear Kileen (Spinners catcher) make the rare four base error.
How often do you see (hear) that ? ADD: Spinners down 3-0 through 4. |

I guess I didn't miss as much I thought I would by not being able to see other teams.

Maybe Hagadone came out because he gave up 4 walks in 1 2/3 innings...

MiFY pitching has 11 K's through 5 including Pichardo 3 times and Westmoreland & Garcia with the bases loaded.
McGuiness with a 2 run line single that 'exploded at the feet' of the second baseman. Spinners tied it up on the 2nd SS error of the inning 3-3 5th |

Not a total loss yet with Bucholz still eligible for a win.

He came out because of the pitch count, he is limited to 40-50 pitches per outing. The walks obviously didn't help. As with most pitchers coming off TJ
surgery, command sometimes takes awhile. Nick's surgery was just over 12 months ago.

Hottovey gave up a 2 run HR that just barely cleared the fence.
Spinners down 5-3. Next up, Pussycat Dolls videos |
