Any guesses on who amongst the new draftees will be at Lowell next Friday? I don't believe Wilson, Hazelbaker, Wilkerson, or Volz would be overslot, would
they. I'd think they'd all be there.

You beat me to the video of Constantino, bosoxwest. I faced Constantino in high school this year. He is a big kid, much bigger than the rest of the players on
the field. As a pitcher, he throws low ninetys, and has a good breaking ball. I believe he was the hardest throwing pitcher in Rhode Island high schools this
year...don't quote me on it. As a hitter, he pretty much crushes the ball every time up. He makes use of his size and strength and hits bombs. I don't
know how many HR's he's hitten this year, but I'm sure it was a good amount.

"It's a blast," said Hendricken senior pitcher Chris Costantino shortly before he took the mound for Thursday night's Division I state title baseball game against North Kingstown and a few hours after he had been drafted by the Red Sox in the 49th round of the Major League amateur draft. An outstanding hitter as well as a big, strong right-handed pitcher, he earned first-team All-State honors in 2008 when his undefeated pitching record and .444 batting average led Hendricken to the state title. "The draft is a personal thing, it's good, but I'm here to win a state title. My team comes first we have played hard all year," said Costantino, who has committed to attend Walters State Community College in Tennessee in the fall.link |

I'm not sure how much he'll get offered, but I can't imagine that Walters State C.C. is that much of a draw.

How does Drew Hedman slip to one of the last picks of the last round of the draft? I don't care where he plays (Harvard of the west), those numbers look
good.

Yes, Scott Boras would present a conflict as your advisor, but your father, Frank McCourt, the owner of the LA Dodgers, would not not be. Link |

That's the nature of the draft, I guess. I'm excited to see what he does and how DIII translates to the minors (I hope well!). |
