I found it pretty sad. One of my favorite books is The Teammates by David Halberstam that tells the story of the friendship Williams, DiMaggio, Pesky, and Doerr had and how close they were from winning the World Series in 1946 and it's sad that only half of "the Teammates" are alive. I've never actually seen DiMaggio play, but reading about him I always thought he was one of the better center fielders in Sox history. A seven time all-star and one of the better center fielders of his day I always thought he should have been in the Hall of Fame. RIP Dom.
