Going by career, you may be right; though I am a Smoak believer. However, looking at next year: I fully expect to see Scheppers closing games towards the end of the season. With his injury history, he's one of those arms you let fly until it falls off (see Duchsherer, yes I know it's spelt wrong). I think he'll be that lightning rod for the end of the season run Texas will make.

I can see it now, the newest angle for contract renegotiations will be "give me more money or I will join the priesthood." Albeit, with some of the personal lives and choices some of the players make, it might be difficult to believe that they have been called by God. On the other hand, it would be a convenient excuse for some shady behavior. "Yeah I was at the strip club until it closed last night, but that was only because I was trying to spread the Good Word. Afterall, Jesus said we have to preach to those who have yet to be saved!"

If you don't like Hicks then i doubt you are very high on Westmoreland. This system is not garbage. They are admittedly a little thin at the top but they are deep with plenty of upside in the low minors.

Westmoreland has shown a lot more power, and makes ridiculously hard contact.

I guess Max Kepler at no. 10 is the first time a german prospect makes it into a top 10 list. Even though he's in the Twins organization I really hope he makes it to the bigs in a couple of years.

I guess another way to say this would be that they weren't prepared for the Majors upon arriving. No matter the reason (rushed or whatnot) it doesn't speak well for the organization for that to happen.
