Terrible way for the Angels to go down like that. Fundamental errors from the get go (Guerrero getting doubled up), then ending with the bunts. The Yankees are an extremely good team but I would have thought the Angels would put up a better fight at the end.

And Scioscia ends the night with the worst managerial move of the season. Pinch-hitting a LHH against Rivera. I thought this shit ended in the 90's.

Its ridiculous. I don't believe they made a single mental error in any facet in the ALDS but that is at least 5 that have happened through 5+ games.

I don't know if it has been noted here previously, but if the Yankees make the WS, Eric Hinske will be with his third WS team in three years, the Sox, the Rays and now the Yanks. I wonder if that is a first?

I think that the one inning was done to allow Weaver to come back for a potential Game 7. If you pitch him more than an inning, you probably lose him as a potential Game 7 starter. Just a guess.

I thought of that as well after I posted it but he only threw 11 pitches, I'd imagine another 15 or so pitches wouldn't kill him for a potential Game 7 where all hands are on deck.
