I was at the game last night as I enjoyed by BIG 6th inning (2 long HRS) after dull first 5 innings-only one hit. I was disappointed by Paps's difficulty
of save attempt as it's no excuse for him to gave up the lead off walk, gave up line drive hit & almost give up BOMB hit (looks like toward the wall
hit by Hairston) before he got 3 outs. It was odd that I've been attend 2 Spinners & 2 RS games which all were wet & damp weather.

Regardless of the IF play tonight, I wonder ......

Tonight was Wake's 17th start, and he is approaching 110 innings. He's going to go to the AS game, with all its brouhaha, and I bet out of sentiment
they try to get him an inning there, or at least a couple of outs (since the AL has 13 pitchers).

And the guy is 42 years old. Francona might be well served to start trying to ease his workload just a bit in the 2nd half, if his bullpen is rested enough to
allow it. Let the stronger, younger guys try to eat the extra inning here and there, if he feels it is absolutely necessary. I didn't have a problem with
Wake coming out for the 7th, but he probably should have been out when the first batter got on.
