How Acquired: Draft
College: Chaffey College (CA)
High School:
From WEEI: If you can read the tiny print detailing the statistics from the Foothill Athletic Conference, you can see that Holmes was a power-hitter with a
good average (.379), OBP (.453) and slugging mark (.662) to go along with his nine homers. Insofar as the Chaffey College website describes him as an
outfielder and DH, and he had but one steal in two attempts this year, one presumes that he is not the most athletic player selected by the Sox this year.

Holmes led the Panthers as a designated hitter and outfielder and was named to the All-Foothill Conference team in 2008 and 2009.
In two years with the Beavers, Sitton has been a relief specialist, racking up a 3-3 record and a 3.97 earned run average. In 48 appearances with the Beavers,
Sitton has worked 45 1/3 innings, striking out 50 while opponents have hit .246 against him.

In 2009, that inherited figure was just nine percent as Sitton inherited 33 and allowed three to score. He used that to help cap off a season that saw him go
1-3 with a 4.05 ERA. But he walked seven while striking out 27 in 20 innings. Opponents hit just .225 against him.

Welcome to Draft Day - this thread is EXCLUSIVELY for posting information on players drafted by the Red Sox. Please no discussion here, full discussion can go
down in the Draft Day Thread I and in the chat room. This thread is designed to help us put together
the new player pages quickly. In the past few years, I've been able to get pages up for all of the Red Sox picks from the first ten rounds by the end of
Day Two. If you want to help out, what we really are looking for is biographical info, scouting reports, major awards the player might have won, and 2009
stats.
